Here, we proudly showcase a consortium of local NGOs (non-governmental organisations) who act as local implementing partners for the project across Cabo Verde. These partners are the driving force behind the impactful work, and initiatives like PaMAR would not be possible without their dedication, technical knowledge, collaboration with government departments, and close relationships with local communities.
Biflores works to protect and conserve biodiversity, and improve public awareness, local empowerment and sustainable development among communities in Brava.
Associação Projeto Biodiversidade works to protect unique wildlife through community-driven environmental protection programmes in Sal.
Biosfera I works to promote the conservation of coastal and marine species and their habitats, and to mobilise Cabo Verdean civil society to protect the environment on several islands.
Associação Projecto Vitó works to protect and conserve the natural resources through environmental education and training, conservation projects, and promoting research in Fogo, Brava and the Rombo Islets Integral Nature Reserve.
Fundação Maio Biodiversidade works to promote the protection of biodiversity and social progress through conservation actions, and the empowerment and economic sustainability of communities in Maio.
